Mike found a Rick on his head last night, so the tick season must have started.
We left the shelter this morning at 6:15. We knew that the weather would be hot again.
We climbed 4.5 miles to the Dragon's Tooth rock formation.
Then it was downhill to Catawba Grocery. We all were dreaming of what food we craved. Mike had ice cream, of course. I had a great big slice of banana pound cake and cookies. Everything was washed down with a cold coke. The dogs got canned food.
We were sad to say goodbye to the dogs' friend Buddy. He got very sore feet.
We then had to cross a valley and climb another ridge. We had some clouds as we are expecting a weather change this evening.
We did the last climb up to McAfee Knob which is the famous AT photo op.
We are staying at the Campbell Shelter. We had our first bugs today.

Over 700 hundred miles. Congratulations. Quite diverse weather you are having. I am asking off for June 23 through the 30th. Look forward to seeing you then.
The photo op looks way too scary, but the view is awesome.
