We left the shelter early this morning. It was just dawn at 7:10.
Today we walked out of the snow into spring. We even hiked in shorts.
We walked beside our first stream.
Mike found our first trail magic.
We crossed the Pigeon River and were surprised at its size.
Then it was across I-40 and up the hill. We are renting at Standing Bear Farm anxiously awaiting the dogs arrival at 6:00.
We will enjoy the pizzas Lida will bring with the dogs.
Another great day on the AT.

Being reunited with your dogs AND getting a pizza sounds like a really great day on the AT. I sure hope the Pigeon River has a bridge.
