A day with a View

Day 20 Tuesday March 19
Miles hiked: 21.5
Total miles: 315.0
Number of hikers we saw: 17

We slept in a bit this morning so hit the trail at 7:53. We had a climb right out of camp to the top of Little Laurel Mountain. The ridge was a rocky edge with some great views. This is the Tennessee side.

This is the North Carolina side's view.

We crossed another bald. That's a mountain with a grassy top.

I found a place along the trail to have a seat.

We found some frog spawn in some really big puddle in the trail.

Tonight we are camped in the Hogback Ridge Shelter. We are sharing it with two young men on spring break from Clemson. using BlogPress from my iPhone

I am VERY impressed that you're out there day after day hiking ~20 miles through snow, rain, and hurricane force winds. We're telling everyone on Mt. Sentinel about your adventure!
