Day 4

Alyssa dropped me off at PA 309. I hiked all day to Little Gap Rd. Early in the day I passed through a recent forest fire. I ran into Hank and Kelly again and hiked to Palmerton with them where they ended their section hike.

We also meet Beyoncé, Fritos and Sweet Moose. They are Flip flippers starting in Harpers Ferry heading to Maine. Then they will return to Harpers and head south to Springer Mountain.
I crossed the Lehigh River and headed up the rocky side of Lehigh Gap.


This flag is near the top.



The trail detours around a Superfund site caused by Inc mining and smelting. There is some growth returning.
